Leeds United will be heading to Wembley Stadium for the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final, after thumping Norwich City 4-0 in the second leg at Elland Road.
A quick-thinking free-kick from Ilia Gruev in the 7th minute caught Angus Gunn off guard and sent the Leeds fans into pandemonium.
With Elland Road rocking, the momentum stayed with the Whites for the whole game and the lead was doubled on the 20-minute mark through Joel Piroe. A sensational whipped delivery from Willy Gnonto found the head of the Dutchman who nodded home to give Leeds a two-goal cushion.
Daniel Farke’s side were hungry for more and five minutes from half-time, Georginio smashed in a third from close range the bring the first half to a close.
The dominance continued into the second half where Leeds could have been four up within the first couple minutes of the restart, but Piroe’s strike was well saved by Gunn.
However, a fourth was eventually added through Crysencio Summerville in the 68th minute when Gunn’s parried save was picked up by Junior Firpo who picked out Summerville who made no mistake with the finish.
Elland Road was rocking throughout the entirety of the 90 minutes and erupted at full-time when the Whites had officially booked their spot at Wembley Stadium for one final game.
