Preview: Swansea City vs Leeds United

League action returns after the international break.

Leeds United return to action on Sunday afternoon (3pm), following the recent international break which saw a number of players head away with their respective countries.

The Whites head to The Swansea.com stadium in search of three points, with the team now having another run of three matches in six days.

Daniel Farke has called for his side to be more ‘efficient’ in front of goal and show a ruthless side to their game, to take more chances when they create them against a Swansea team who have proved hard to break down in recent months.

This is also a message Luke Williams will have suggested to his side, too. The Swans have been beaten just once on home turf this season from seven matches and in that run they have four clean sheets, conceding just three times, but at the other end, they’ve only scored seven.

Leeds have also been hard to score against, with an impressive nine clean sheets from the opening 15 games, along with scoring 24 times in those games.

United’s top scorer so far this campaign is a former Swan, Joel Piroe. The Dutchman has scored six times up to now and will be looking to add to that tally if given the opportunity against his former side this weekend.

For the hosts, Slovenian international Zan Vipotnik is top of the scoring charts, with two. The 22-year-old joined the club this summer after netting 10 times for French side Bordeaux last year.

Both teams will know what the three points would mean to their league standings prior to the match, most of their competitors in action earlier in the weekend.
