Jane Dowson

SAB Profile: Jane Dowson

My introduction to the SAB came when members invited me to apply for the role of Chair. This followed my work with supporters to secure a blue plaque for Albert Johannsson, which now sits at the side of the East Stand’s main entrance. I was interviewed by SAB members and subsequently elected to the role.

As the independent Chair, neither I nor any of my family members hold positions at Leeds United, and I am not a member of any supporter group. This ensures fairness and equal access for all supporters.

I bring 22 years of experience chairing meetings and shaping agendas. For the SAB, this means ensuring that anything supporters or the Club wish to discuss is considered constructively, openly and with the aim of improving the experience for all.

The club is the beating heart of the city, it is a huge honour and responsibility to help guide the collaboration between club and supporters and one I do not take lightly. All Leeds are we!
