Course Overview:
The Pearson BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development is intended for post-16 learners wanting to progress to employment, including self-employment, in sports coaching and roles such as sport development officer.
The National Foundation Diploma is a one-year, full-time course. Learners can gain UCAS points as below but will usually need to complete the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (1 additional year) to be able to progress to university: P – 24, M – 48, D – 72, D* – 84

Entry Requirements:
Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths (this will not prevent entry to the programme where learners demonstrate appropriate behaviours and attitudes towards their English and Maths development), or a relevant Level 2 qualification, such as a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport, plus an ability to operate at Level 2 in either English or Maths
