The Level 3 Extended Diploma is a two-year programme developed to cover the core elements of sporting performance and excellence.

Level 3 BTEC Sport

The Level 3 Extended Diploma is a two-year elite player development programme that will cover the core elements of sporting performance and excellence such as; Anatomy, Physiology, Coaching, Psychology and Analysis.

The course will be equivalent to three A-Levels and particularly suits those wanting to enter employment in the sports industry as a sports coaches, physio, sports scientist or for those wishing to progress to higher education to study a sport-related degree such as coaching, sports therapy or sports science.

The Level 3 Extended Diploma consists of 19 units of learning delivered over two years of studying.

Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above must be achieved and must include Maths and English. Candidates must also possess an interest in pursuing a career within the sports industry.
The BTEC Level 3 course will give you the foundation for entry into University as it is worth up to 168 UCAS points, for those who achieve a D* D* D*.
Successful learners may also wish to apply for a wide range of jobs and apprenticeships within the sports sector following the course.
