GENDER PAY GAP REPORT
Leeds United is an employer required by law to carry out Gender Pay Reporting under the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017.
This involves carrying out calculations that show the difference between the average earnings of men and women in our organisation.

Comments From Angus Kinnear, Leeds United Managing Director:
We have calculated our results in line with the government regulations and it comes as no surprise that, as with the majority of other professional teams competing in the English Football League, there is a significant pay gap due to the disproportionate salaries and bonuses paid to the playing and coaching staff. Our mean gender pay gap is 60% whereas the UK average is currently 19%. Should you remove first team players and coaching staff wages the mean gender pay gap falls to 16% which is below the national average.
Our data contains information relating to over 850 employees performing a wide range of duties ranging from professional first team players through to casual match day staff.

We are proud to note that we have several women in senior roles within club and we will continue to ensure we employ the best person for each role and that gender does not play a part in the decision process. We firmly believe in promoting equality throughout our club and this has been demonstrated by our decision to bring Leeds United Ladies back into our family this season following the club being disbanded a number of years ago.
