The Role

Leeds United Football Club are looking for well presented, energetic and hardworking individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our matchday hospitality team.

Specifically, we are currently recruiting for Matchday Lounge Hosts and Hostesses. Following a successful 2018/19 season, Leeds United Football Club are recruiting to provide the best customer service and care to all our hospitality guests attending our home fixtures here at Elland Road.

This role will be to ensure that our guests feel personally welcomed, comfortable and inspired to have the best matchday experience from the moment they arrive. Our Hosts/Hostess will welcome guests upon arrival, show guests to their table and provide them with information to maximise their matchday experience.

It is essential that our Hosts and Hostesses can carry natural conversation with guests. In addition, our Hosts and Hostesses may be asked to carry out match related organisational duties, including ticket reprinting and troubleshooting.

These duties will coincide with the matchday tasks of our permanent Commercial team members, who are always on hand to assist.

Key Responsibilities

- Attending pre-match Commercial briefings where relevant matchday information will be relayed

- Ensure tables are laid correctly and that they mirror table plans

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival; escort them to their assigned box or lounge; present order of the day and seat locations and run through package content.

- Liaising with our matchday Conference and Banqueting team

- Communicating with guests to ensure high quality of matchday delivery (this may include handling matchday complaints or service issues along with the help of the Commercial team)

- Ticket management or queries where necessary

In order to apply for this role you must have previous management/supervisory experience.

Key Attributes

- It is desirable for applicants to have previous experience in a similar host/ hostessing role, front of house role or with strong customer service skills.

- Well presented and professional outlook

- The ability to adapt to working in a fast paced environment

- The ability to use initiative when dealing with complex circumstances and when problem solving

Typical hours for this position include arriving 4 hours before kickoff, staying throughout the game and leaving approximately 1 hour after full time.

During a typical matchday, catering is provided for all our Hosts and Hostesses. The successful applicants will be expected to commit to all home matches throughout the season, including all fixtures in the SkyBet Championship, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and any Play-Off fixtures.

These fixtures will be played mid-week, at weekends and on bank holidays. Successful candidates will be open to working these fixtures over seasonal breaks, including Christmas and Easter.

Location: Elland Road

The Role

Leeds United Football Club are looking to recruit Managers and Team Leaders to run the public bars and food outlets within the stadium on Match days for the upcoming football season 2019/20.

This is just casual work working the 23 home fixtures plus cup games, you will be required to work all home fixtures for the full season.

The Ideal Candidate

Working in management, you will be contributing to the efficient running of kiosks within the stadium grounds. You will have the skills and passion to provide great service. You will be able to work independently or as part of a team whilst ensuring that you adhere to food health and hygiene regulations. You will have previous bars experience with a good knowledge of cellar work.

As part of the management roles you will be required to manage either 2-3 kiosks or a stand within the stadium as well as up to 30 staff members. You will also oversee the stock control and cash, previous cash handling is essential.

The Role

Leeds United Football Club are now seeking experienced and motivated chefs to work home fixtures for the upcoming 2019/20 football season.

As a Chef, you will be contributing to the efficient running of one of our many kitchens. You will have the skills and passion to produce great food. You will be able to work independently or as part of a team whilst ensuring that you adhere to food health and hygiene regulations.

Please be aware this role is working the home match day fixtures only which are usually Saturdays or Tuesday evenings. You must be available for every match-day and you may be given the opportunity to work additional hour’s dependent on business.

The Ideal Candidate

You must be self motivated and have the ability to work in a pressurised environment. You will also be required to have:

- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking and serving

- Basic Food Hygiene knowledge

- Experience is essential

- Good people skills

- Passion about food and customer service

- Must be over 18 years old

The Role:

The Leeds United Foundation is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, charismatic and dedicated National Citizen Service (NCS) Recruitment and engagement Lead to organise and deliver our NCS project for young people aged 16-17. The successful candidate must have project management experience and have work experience of working in a youth or community setting.

The Ideal Candidate:

The candidate must have relevant experience. This will include coaching, teaching or mentoring within a sport or youth environment and some management skills. Working within partnership and multi- agency programmes. Ability to present and sell the programme to young people. Experience of delivering projects relating to sport and outward bound activities. Experience of working in an environment with young people. A proven track record of working with external partners. A proven track record of marketing and sales. A proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. Examples of self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative. Excellent communication skills including written, telephone and interpersonal skills. Proven planning and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Good networking and facilitating skills. Ability and willingness to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends and residential weeks

Hours: This role requires regular evening and weekend work with a varied working pattern to meet the demands of the Under 23 games programme.

As part of the Club’s continued commitment to youth development and achieving Category 1 Academy status, we are now seeking to appoint first-class people to a range of new and existing positions.

 

The Role

We are seeking a passionate, progressive and professional minded coach to work in the Academy in the Professional Development Phase as part of our Under 23 coaching team. The purpose of the role is to provide a first-class coaching and development experience for the players in the Under 23 age group. Working in-line with the Academy performance plan, you will be embedded in the professional environment and apply First Team methodology to help young professional players transition from the Academy and integrate directly into the First Team.

 

Person Specification

Candidates must hold the following as a minimum;

  • UEFA A License
  • FA Advanced Youth Award
  • FA BFAS certificate
  • FA Safeguarding children certificate
  • DBS check with children’s barred list check
  • UK Driving License
  • A minimum of 5 year’s experience of coaching in a full-time capacity in an Academy
  • Experience of working with young professional players
