Enterprise Insurance Company Plc was established in July 2004.  While not a high street name which sells direct to the public, Enterprise provides its expertise, plus a wide range of general insurance products - including motor, household, warranty, and legal expenses - to a number of well known brand names in the UK, France, and Greece.

Since its establishment, the company has seen rapid growth, with turnover doubling each year for the last three years. Enterprise has ambitious plans for further expansion, and becoming main sponsor of Leeds United is part of its wider aim to increase its profile in the UK. A key part of its association with Leeds will be the launch of a new venture - Leeds United Insurance Services - which will provide fans and club supporters with a range of exclusive insurance products and services designed with them in mind. Leeds United Insurance Services will be launched in association with Motorway Direct Plc, a business partner of Enterprise Insurance Company. Together, Enterprise and Motorway Direct have in the region of 5 million insurance clients in the UK, and, working with the Club, they intend to offer fans a very special service.

Enterprise is based in Gibraltar, one of Europe's leading insurance centres, where it is regulated by the Financial Services Commission. The company is also a member of the Association of British Insurers.
