EASY DOES IT
Goals from Anthony Elding and Seb Carole ensured Leeds United reserves a comfortable victory against Lincoln City at Elland Road on Wednesday.
Elding made it four goals in four reserve games to get the evening off to the perfect start before Carole wrapped up the 2-0 win 15 minutes from time with a good finish.
The goals capped off what was a good display by a United side who enjoyed all the play, and controlled the game from start to finish.
Elding set the tone when he scored after just four minutes, following good work by Jonathan Douglas, and United went on to dominate the game, playing some good attacking football against a Lincoln side who offered little in return.
Elding, Peter Sweeney, and Carole all had opportunities during the first 45 minutes while the returning Douglas was able to control things in front of a back four that included Paul Huntington.

The chances continued to flow after the break with Sweeney twice going close to furthering the advantage.
Lincoln mounted just one serious attack and it was Scotland under-19 international Alan Martin who came to the rescue when he tipped the ball onto the bar.
But United always looked the stronger, Carole looking lively on the left and skipper Fabian Delph, fresh from England under-19 duty, enjoying a good game in the middle of the park.
As expected, Leeds re-shuffled in the second half when the impressive Elding was replaced by Tom Elliott and, with another hour of action to his name, Douglas was replaced by Ollie Hotchkiss.
Striker Elliott almost made an immediate impact when he forced a good save moments after his arrival, following some good invention from a Leeds corner.
But Frenchman Carole doubled the advantage on 75 minutes. Substitute Nathan Cartman was the provider after good work by Hotchkiss forced Lincoln into retreat mode, and Carole rounded the goalkeeper before making no mistake with an angled finish.
That was effectively game over, but United were reduced to 10 men within minutes of the re-start when Liam Darville limped out of the action.
There was still time for Elliott to fire a shot straight at the goalkeeper, but even with a man less, United dicated the tempo well during the closing stages as they cruised to a 2-0 win under the watchful eye of first team boss Gary McAllister.
United: Martin, Gardner, Wilkinson, Huntington, Darville, Sorsa, Delph, Douglas (Hotchkiss 60), Carole, Sweeney (Cartman 71), Elding (Elliott 60).
