RESERVES HELD
United's reserve team were held to a goalless draw by Scunthorpe United at Elland Road on Wednesday afternoon.
Neil Thompson's side enjoyed the better of the contest, but were unable to convert their chances during a frustrating game.
Ian Westlake did have a goal disallowed during the first half - for an apparent offside decision - and it was Leeds who created the better opportunities.
Curtis Weston went close on two occasions, Anthony Elding had a low shot well-saved and Ollie Hotchkiss also fired one straight at Scunthorpe goalkeeper Josh Lillis.
In return, Scunthorpe's Jonathan Forte had the best chance of the game for the visitors when he shot wide from close range after working a good opening.
The United defence, which included Paul Huntington and Matt Heath, was otherwise untroubled by a Scunthorpe side which featured the experienced Kevin Horlock and striker Tomi Ameobi, on loan from Leeds.
United: Martin, Madden (Darville 75), Heath, Huntington (Wilkinson 68), Fisher, Sorsa, Weston, Hotchkiss, Westlake, Elding (Gardner 68), Elliott. Subs: Ross, Ovington.
