Rob is a young midfield player who has come up through the United Academy system.

After some notable outings with United's reserve side in the 2006-2007 season, Rob was hoping the 2007/08 season would be the one when he could push his career further along by establishing himself in the senior side.

But with United having a number of more experienced midfield players in their ranks, Rob was unable to make the big break-through he was hoping for, though he did make a first team appearance as substitute against Portsmouth in the Carling Cup second round tie at Fratton Park and was also an unused sub on four other occasions.
