Argentinean defender Federico Bessone joined the club in the summer of 2010 from Swansea City.

The 26-year-old left-back signed a three-year contract and joined fellow countryman Luciano Becchio at Elland Road.

Fede started the first eight games of the 2010/11 season, but found himself out of the side after the 5-2 defeat at Barnsley in September and didn't feature again. Fede joined Charlton Athletic on loan in January where he made 13 appearances for the London club.

Like Becchio, Bessone lists Barcelona among his former employers, having started his career in the Spanish giants C team when he figured alongside a certain Lionel Messi.

After two years at Barca he progressed to Espanyol and Gimnastic before moving to the UK to join Roberto Martinez at Swansea. In two seasons in South Wales, Federico made 40 appearances.
