Bradley JohnsonBradley began his playing career with Northampton Town when he signed a professional contract in June 2005 after having progressed through the Cambridge United youth team.

He made one appearance with Cambridge while a trainee at the club and also spent a period on loan at Gravesend in the latter half of the 2005-2006 season. He signed a new two-year deal with Northampton in April 2007 but left in January 2008 to join Leeds for an undisclosed fee and he went straight into the side.

He was an ever-present from the time he arrived at the club to the end of that season, making 24 appearances either from the start of a game or as a substitute.

But Bradley made just one start under Gary McAllister during his first full season with the club and joined Brighton on loan where he played 10 times, scoring five goals, but a change in manager saw his Leeds United career re-vitalised.

On returning to Leeds, he made his first start since August at Brighton on January 17 and was involved with Simon Grayson's squad, usually among the substitutes.

Bradley was handed the opportunity to impress on the left side of midfield during the summer of 2009, and he got the nod to start the season in that role. By the start of September he had netted three goals in three games, including vital efforts against Walsall and Colchester.

Injury disrupted his campaign, but he returned to feature on both the left and his favoured central role as the club edged towards promotion from League One.
