Ben Parker

A former England youth international, Ben was rewarded for some impressive displays last season by being offered an extension to his contract the at the conclusion of the 2008-2009 campaign.

Ben made his United debut at Macclesfield Town in the Carling Cup in the 2007-2008 season.

His previous experience of senior football came during the 2006/07 season when he spent the campaign on loan at Bradford City.

The highly-rated left-back also gained further experience at Darlington, where he helped the Quakers reach the League Two Play-Offs at the end of the 2007-2008 season.

Ben returned as a key member of the senior squad and scored his first goal at Northampton in the FA Cup in November 2008.

He re-established himself in the senior side, following the arrival of Simon Grayson as manager, but sustained a thigh injury on the opening day of the 2009/10 campaign against Exeter City.
