BEN STAYS ON
Defender Ben Parker is set to extend his loan at Darlington until the end of the season.
The youngster's initial loan deal is due to expire after this weekend's games - but the club have agreed for Ben to stay on with the League Two promotion chasers.
The loan arrangement includes an option for a further extension should Darlington reach the Play-Offs - but the club have also inserted an immediate release clause.
Ben has made seven appearances for the Quakers and United boss Gary McAllister says he is keen to see his young defender gain further experience.
The United manager has also said that he sees Ben's longer-term future at Elland Road, and he is keen to preserve the tradition of homegrown youngsters breaking through the ranks.
