RESERVES LOSE
United reserves went down 3-2 at York City on Tuesday afternoon.
Second half goals from Tom Elliott and Gavin Rothery gave United a 2-1 advantage, but the home side stole the points with two late goals.
Neil Thompson was disappointed with the goals and he said: "The performance wasn't up to the level we've shown recently.
"We conceded one really sloppy goal, but all three were naive.
"In the end we had enough of the ball and were positive, but then we fell for sucker punch at the end of the game.
"That came down to a lack of concentration."
United's opener came courtesy of Elliott, who headed home a Chris Ovington cross, before Rothery made space for himself and delivered a good finish.
