YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
In the second of our new series, chief executive Shaun Harvey answers another question being posed by you.
Q: In the event that the club participates in the Play-Off final at Wembley, how will the tickets be distributed?
Shaun Says: Our ambition, of course, is to gain automatic promotion, however our enquiries with the Football League have established that any competing club would receive at least 30,000 tickets.
The major criticism of the club in relation to the 2006 Play-Off final was the lack of clear and concise information in respect of both, how to get tickets and who was eligible.
It is impossible to put specific details in place until the actual timescales and number of days between any semi-final and final are known but in general, and if the situation arises, we will adopt the following policy.
GUARANTEE:
All Season Ticket holders and Members (as at March 31 2008) will be guaranteed a ticket for the fixture as long as they apply inside the timescales put in place at the time.
Note:
The club reserve the right to stop selling Membership if we realistically believe that there is any concern that we could not honour the guarantee above, however, anyone who is a member by that time it is withdrawn will be guaranteed a ticket.
HOW TO GET TICKETS:
Applications will be accepted in person at the Ticket Office, by Fax (using an application form that will be available On-line or from the Ticket Office), On-line or by post but NOT over the telephone.
PRIORITY:
Season Ticket holders will be given at least two exclusive days to purchase their tickets using any of the approved application methods.
Members (before 31st March - subject always to early withdrawal) will then be able to apply for their tickets after the exclusive period for Season Ticket holders expired up to a further date, say 4/5 days after they first go on sale.
Any tickets then remaining would be made available to members who have joined after the 31 March 2008.
Finally, any tickets not sold would be made available on general sale.
NOTE:
We will look to introduce 'special' arrangements for disabled supporters to purchase tickets when we are aware of the specific allocations from Wembley.
We will also establish how best to deal with applications from overseas supporters who are not able to visit Elland Road regularly but would want to go to Wembley.
Our ambition of course is to gain automatic promotion but in the event that we cannot achieve that aim then we hope the above information is useful for supporters and gives season ticket holders/ members the comfort of the basis under which they are GUARANTEED a ticket for the fixture.
