DOUBLE INTEREST
Dennis Wise has confirmed his interest in two more January transfer targets.
Sebastian Sorsa became the first arrival of the month when he signed an 18-month deal on Wednesday, but the boss has revealed two of his other targets.
Dennis has identified Luton striker Dean Morgan, pictured, and Barnet marksman Jason Puncheon as two players he has an interest in.
The 24-year-old Morgan, whose former clubs include Colchester and Reading, is currently on loan at Southend United, and his parent club Luton are in administration.
Morgan has made almost 200 senior appearances, and can play both up-front and out wide. He caused havoc against United for Luton back in August 2005 when the two sides met at Kenilworth Road.
Barnet's Puncheon is a striker who has scored 10 goals already this term. The 21-year-old bagged a hat-trick in the Bees 3-1 win against Dagenham and Redbridge on Boxing Day.
Wisey said: "Puncheon is one I'm interested in and Morgan is another.
"I know Dean very well, and Andy Hughes played with him at Reading and knows him well.
"There are others who I have an interest in, but I'm not going to name any more names at this stage. We'll see what happens."
The boss says he is keen to strengthen as he looks to build on the early season form in League One.
"I can't forget what these players here have done so far this season," explained Dennis.
"They have got us into this position, but the pressure is now is different from earlier in the season and they have to cope with it.
"At the present we're not doing that and we'll have a shuffle about."
