Regional Members Club Constitution

The regional Members Club shall be known as the 'LEEDS UNITED REGIONAL MEMBERS CLUB (BRANCH)'.
Objectives
1.1 To recruit supporters to become members of the Leeds United Members Club.
1.2 To encourage contact between members through organised meetings and events.
1.3 To support Leeds United at football matches both at Elland Road and away in such a manner as to protect the good name of Leeds United.
1.4 To organise events and fundraising activities for the financial benefit of both the Regional Members Club and Leeds United.
1.5 To make whatever financial donations the Regional Members Club is able to Leeds United.
1.6 The Regional Members Club shall be a non-profit making organisation.
1.7 To promote support of Leeds United in everyway.
Membership
2.1 The Regional Members Club shall be open to all members of the Leeds Members Club.
2.2 Leeds United reserves the right to terminate the Regional Members Club if the number of members affiliated to it drop to less than 10.
2.3 In the event that Leeds United feel that the conduct of the Regional Members Club is not consistent with the objectives set out in 1) above then Leeds United reserve the right to disbar the Regional Members Club.
2.4 All members shall have one vote at any meeting of the Regional Members Club to which they are affiliated.
2.5 The Regional Members Club has the right to charge an affiliation fee to members at such rate as to be approved by Leeds United from time to time.
2.6 Any member subject to a banning order from the courts will not be entitled to join a Regional Members Club.
2.7 The Regional Members Club shall pay an annual subscription fee to Leeds United.
2.8 The annual subscription fee shall be fixed by Leeds United no later than the 28th February each year and will be due and payable on the 1st July each year.
2.9 In the event that the subscription fee is not paid by the 14th July then Leeds United reserves the right to serve notice on the Regional Members Club to terminate the Regional Members Club.
2.10 Any actions that lead to the termination of the Regional Members Club will see Leeds United prohibit the name of Leeds United being connected with the group.
2.11 In the event of termination the Treasurer shall submit to Leeds United a final account and the balance of any monies in their account.
2.12 The Regional Members Club shall have the ability not to restrict events to members only however any ticket allocations must only be made to members.
Meetings and election of Officers
3.1 A Regional Members Club shall have a democratically elected committee.
3.2 The Committee shall consist of a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer who have the responsibility to Leeds United for the Regional Members Club.
3.3 In the event of any of the Committee ceasing to be a member of Leeds United then they will be required to leave the Committee with immediate effect and a successor found.
3.4 All positions on the Committee shall be for a period of one year.
3.5 The Committee shall be elected at the AGM which will be held in June each year.
3.6 Each nomination for a position on the Committee shall be made in writing to the Secretary no later than 7 days before the AGM. Each nomination shall be proposed and seconded by current affiliated members.
3.7 The Secretary shall notify all affiliated members of the AGM giving at least 28 days due notice of the meeting. The notification shall include the agenda for the meeting as well as the time and location. A copy of the notice shall also be sent to Leeds United.
3.8 A quorum of 10 members needs to be present for the AGM to take place.
3.9 The Regional Members Club shall inform Leeds United of the names and contact details of the duly elected Committee within 7 days of the AGM.
3.10 In the event of one of the Committee resigning or being removed from office in accordance with 3.3 then the remaining officers shall call an EGM to appoint a successor.
3.11 The EGM shall be called by giving all affiliated members 7 days notice of the meeting by written notice as described in 3.7 above.
3.12 Upon written request to the Secretary signed by at least 10 affiliated members then an EGM shall be convened to discuss the matter raised by the members.
Officers & Members
4.1 No officer or member shall directly or indirectly profit from their involvement with the Regional Members Club.
4.2 Any officer or member is entitled to claim expenses actually and necessarily incurred on behalf of the Regional Members Club so long as it is approved by the Committee. The payment should be duly noted in the Regional Members Club accounts by the Treasurer.
Accounts
5.1 The Treasurer shall present for approval of the AGM the accounts for the previous year (or part thereof up to 30th December of the previous year).
5.2 The Treasurer shall maintain a register of assets.
5.3 Leeds United reserve the right to have the accounts of any Regional Members Club audited.
5.4 The accounts must be forwarded to Leeds United within 28 days of the 31st December.
