HAPPY DAYS
Leeds United surged back into the top-six in League One after Saturday's 2-0 win at Leyton Orient and boss Gary McAllister was quick to herald a "great week".
The Brisbane Road victory came just four days after a 1-0 win at promotion chasing Doncaster, and extended the unbeaten run to five games.
Goals from Paul Huntington and Jermaine Beckford secured the points in London on Saturday.
"It's been a good week for everyone, particularly the players," said the United boss.
"We had a performance, we got the right result, and barring the keeper making four or five excellent saves, it could have been a lot more than 2-0.
"Martin Ling has done a fantastic job at Orient, at times they have punched above their weight, but we had some solid performance.
"We had some smashing play, and at one stage Jonny Howson was denied and you think 'is it going to be one of those days?'
"But we kept passing and moving, and we deserved to be in front. As long as it was 1-0 they were going to fight, but the second goal knocked the stuffing out of them, and it could have been more.
"The support was a great help to us again."
On top of the win, Saturday's game was the fourth successive clean sheet, and it's now six hours since United have conceded a goal.
"We've gone four clean sheets in a row and that's pleasing," said the boss. "Because we know there's goals in the team.
"Getting into the top-six is a boost, and we've got to push on. We''ve got five games left now and there's so much to play for.
"We've got to play with that freedom again."
