Leeds United Football Club would like to express its deepest sympathy and condolences to our former captain Lucas Radebe.

Lucas's wife Feziwe sadly lost her battle against bowel cancer and passed away on Saturday.

Feziwe was diagnosed with bowel cancer just days after Lucas' testimonal at Elland Road in May 2005.

The family had returned to South Africa. Feziwe, 34, leaves Lucas and their two children, Lucas Hugo and Owame.

The club has received many, many messages of condolence and these will be passed on to Lucas.

On behalf of Lucas we would like to thank both the fans, the people of Leeds, and the world of sport, for their messages of sympathy and support.
