Fabian Delph signs his new contract

Highly-rated midfielder Fabian Delph has pledged his future to Leeds United by signing a new four-year contract.

The England under-19 international has attracted the interest of a host of Premiership clubs, but Fabian was quick to pen to paper on a new contract with Leeds and says he is looking forward to the future at Elland Road.

"I'm absolutely delighted.," said Fabian, whose contract runs until 2012.

"This is the club I want to play for and want to be at, and to be offered a four-year contract...I'm buzzing. As soon as I was offered the contract I signed."

Fabian is the latest Academy product to establish himself at Elland Road, and the Bradford-born youngster says is keen to repay the managers, coaches, and staff who have helped with his fledgling career.

"I owe everything to this club," he said.

"It's where I've learnt my trade and where I've grown up. A lot of different managers have helped me out, and it's down to them.

"The club put me in digs and they put cotton wool around me and looked after me. The club looked after me with transport and things like that when I was younger, and have done everything for me.

"This is the club I want to play for and want to be at so it wasn't a hard decision in the slightest.

"Gary McAllister is always talking to me and giving me pointers. He was a great player and it's great to play under him."
