Boss facing selection dilemma ahead of weekend...
Gary McAllister admits he is facing a welcome selection dilemma ahead of the weekend clash with Bristol Rovers.
The boss made eight changes to his starting line-up against Crystal Palace on Tuesday - and his re-shuffled pack responded by rattling four goals past the Coca-Cola Championship side.
He also adopted a change in formation with Jermaine Beckford playing in a wider role, and the tactical switch paid dividends with Becks and Luciano Becchio both scoring goals while Palace boss Neil Warnock said his players couldn't cope with the strike duo.
After picking up one point from a possible six in the league, the midweek showing couldn't have come at a better time for United, and the boss is now weighing up his options for the weekend.
"After naming the team on Tuesday and telling the players who'd played at Yeovil they wouldn't make a start, I said I wanted to see everyone on Thursday morning champing at the bit," he explained.
"We've had that. It's not only the team that did well, but everyone has come back in this morning champing at the bit.
"Competition is fierce and it brings an edge. It's the sort of edge you need.
"As much as people are looking at starting XI, as daft as it sounds I can honestly say the hardest decision is probably which five players will be on the bench."
Alan Sheehan remains the only doubt after suffering a head injury during Saturday's draw at Yeovil. Ben Parker is back in training after injury kept him out of the squad on Tuesday.
