BARROW SECOND DEADLINE DAY SIGNING

BARROW SECOND DEADLINE DAY SIGNING

Modou Barrow completes loan deal.

Leeds United are pleased to confirm a second transfer deadline day signing, with Modou Barrow joining the club.

The 24-year-old joins the Whites on loan until the end of the season from Premier League side Swansea City.

United head coach Garry Monk signed Barrow from Ostersunds FK, whilst in charge of the Swans back in 2014 after he scored ten goals in 19 games for the Swedish outfit.

He made 13 appearances for Swansea in his first season, in-between a four game loan spell at fellow Championship side Nottingham Forest.

Barrow started last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers, before returning to Swansea where he made 24 outings in the Premier League and the Emirates FA Cup.

This season the winger has featured 19 times for the Swans and the Gambia international will add further competition to the squad across United's front line.

The attacker will be unavailable for Wednesday's trip to Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday, but like fellow deadline day signing Alfonso Pedraza could make his debut in Sunday's West Yorkshire derby with Huddersfield Town.

You could see Barrow and Pedraza make their home debuts against Cardiff City on Saturday 11th February.
