MILANIC PREPARED FOR NORWICH

United head coach gives his thoughts ahead of Carrow Road trip...

Darko Milanic insists his side are well prepared for Tuesday night’s visit to Norwich City as United look to return to winning ways.

Friday's 2-1 defeat at Rotherham made it four Championship games without a win for Milanic's men after a second-half comeback cancelled out Mirco Antenucci’s 30th-minute opener.

Fourth-placed Norwich are next up for United and they come into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at Fulham – their third consecutive game without collecting three points.

But the head coach is aware of Norwich’s threat following their relegation from the Premier League and says he has a plan in place to prevent them getting one over his side.

"Everybody knows that Norwich are a very good team," said Milanic. "They have some experienced players with high quality and pace.

"We also heard that the manager (Neil Adams) wants to change the system. We are prepared. The guys want a good game on Tuesday night."

Milanic says United’s winless run is not for a lack of effort but admits it is important to remember there are a number of players still finding their feet at this level.

"If I see my players, they want to fight," he said. "They want to play good and they want to fight also. It’s normal.

"We must not forget that the team is very young.

"We have some players there that have not much experience and when you compare our opponents, they have maybe, in this moment, a little bit more experience."
