United midfielder Lewis Cook has withdrawn from the England Under-19s squad to face Mexico due to a minor injury.

Chelsea’s Jake Clarke-Salter has also pulled out of the squad for the forthcoming friendly double-header in Mexico City’s Centro de Alto Rendimento at the start of June.

It is hoped, however, that Cook will be ready to return to the Young Lions fold in time for this summer’s U19 European Championships in Germany.
