2005/06 - Leeds travelled to France to face amateur side Rodez Aveyon. Youngster Nick Gray got a rare start as Leeds won 1-0 thanks to a Danny Pugh strike.

2004/05 -Leeds played two friendlies during this season, our first outside the top flight in 14 years. The first game, on September 5 2004, came against Greek side Iraklis Thessaloniki to mark the official opening of their new stadium. Paul Butler was on target for Leeds in a 1-1 draw, which saw the only appearances in United colours for Serge Branco.

2004/05 - The second game, away at Drogheda United on March 20 2005, marked the opening of the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre in Drogheda. The friendly ended 1-1, with Julian Joachim finding the net for Leeds and Kevin Pressman starting in goal.

2003/04 - Leeds were invited to play in a testimonial for Cambridge United stalwart John Taylor staged at the Abbey Stadium back in November 2003. Leeds were 5-3 winners, with a hat-trick from on-loan Frenchman Cyril Chapuis. The other United goals came from Seth Johnson and Lamine Sakho. It was also Eddie Gray's first came back as caretaker manager following the sacking of Peter Reid.
