CHARLIE IS SEPTEMBER\'S PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Full-back tops September's Player of the Month vote...

Charlie Taylor has topped your vote as September's Leeds United Player of the Month!

The full-back, who has played every minute so far this season, was in fine form throughout September and particularly caught the eye in our 2-1 win at MK Dons.

Taylor won the penalty for Chris Wood to open the scoring at stadiummk, before doubling United's advantage with a fine solo effort after another surging run from deep.

"Milton Keynes was pretty special," he said. "We got the win, which was the main thing. But I also got on the scoresheet, so that was doubly pleasing.

"Scoring as a defender is great, as it isn't expected of us. But things opened up in front of me and I just kept on going. I got into the box and decided to try my luck.

"We are encouraged to have a go when something is on, so that is what I did and it was great to see the ball hit the net.

"That day was great as we won in front of so many of our fans. We had something like 6,000 down there and I am sure they had a great day.

"The fans have been brilliant with me. I know what it is like to be a Leeds fan. They go everywhere and show us brilliant support.

"There were 6,000 at Milton Keynes and it was great to come out of the tunnel and see all those fans. It was an incredible feeling.

"Everyone at the club appreciates that support. It is such a big help to us."
