U21S WIN AT CHARLTON

1-0 win for Development Squad…

United’s Under-21s maintained their unbeaten start to the 2014/15 season at Charlton Athletic on Monday afternoon.

Zac Thompson scored the only goal of the game and was United’s match winner. The goal came about following good pressure from United midfielder Chris Dawson.

United were the better side throughout the game and the Under-21s showed some great individual performances, but it was United’s goalscorer that was the pick of the bunch.

With Neil Redfearn currently overseeing the first team it was Under-18’s coach Jason Blunt and Academy operations manager Adam Underwood took charge of the game.

United: Grimes, Booker, Killock (Vann), Skelton, Denton, Thompson, Purver, Philips, Dawson, Mulhern, Parkin (Stokes). Subs not used: Atkinson, Crouz, Berry.
