TERRY COOPER: GET WELL SOON

Leeds United wishes former defender a speedy recovery...

Leeds United Football Club would like to wish former left-back Terry Cooper well following his recent surgery for cancer.

Thankfully, the operation is said to have been successful after he was diagnosed with bowel cancer.

Terry, 70, remains a legendary figure at Elland Road following his 13-year spell at the club.

Terry was signed by Don Revie aged 17 and went on to collect First Division, FA Cup, League Cup, Charity Shield and Inter-Cities Fairs Cup medals before departing for Middlesbrough in 1975.

He made 250 league appearances for United and went on to represent England at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.

Terry is now recuperating back at home and the club wishes him all the best in his recovery.
