QPR: BOSS EXPECTING TOUGH TRIP

Brian McDermott looks ahead to QPR trip…

United boss Brian McDermott is predicting a tough task on Saturday when his side head to Queens Park Rangers for the lunchtime kick off live on Sky Sports (12.15pm).

The Loftus Road club are without a win in the last four games but the United boss says that it is never an easy place to go and come away with the three points.

“In every game that you play in you are in need of a victory,” said the manager.

“It is never easy to go to Loftus Road and they haven’t lost many games there this season. There will be a big atmosphere, as there always is, and we are looking forward to the game.

“They are a very tough team and they have players that have been there and done it at this level. And more importantly they have got a manager who knows exactly what he is doing.”

Last time out United gained a well deserved point at Middlesbrough and the boss is looking to use the “well organised” performance as a building block towards a Play-Off push.

“The team was well organised, and well drilled at Middlesbrough and we got a cleansheet,” added the boss. “Our goalie made a couple of good saves and we had a penalty shout which would have us won the game.

“But we got the point and now we have 15 more games to go, starting at QPR on Saturday.”
