DOM HOPING FOR GOALS

Striker hoping for a better season…

United striker Dominic Poleon is confident goals will come if he is given the chance next season.

Having made 31 appearances and scoring four goals for the club the 20-year-old striker is looking to improve his stats during the 2014/15 campaign.

“I’m hoping to do well,” said Dominic. “I want to get myself in the team and score some goals, so the same as always.

“You want to look back on last year and improve next season.

“I always believe I can score goals so hopefully if I get the chance I’ll be able to knock them in.”

The players will report for pre-season training on June 26 and the striker has spoken of the importance of being ready for the season’s opener.

“Pre-season is massively important,” explained Poleon. “Pre-season is there to get your match fitness.

“You need to get back to fitness after the summer and you also need to get the rust away from your boots. There is always a good workout for the boys. For myself, I enjoy it and I’ll be ready for the season.

“I think that we should just take everything in our stride. We definitely need to improve on last season’s position.

“We know where we want to be and we have just got to work together and push in the same direction.”
