Head coach previews the Hornets' Elland Road visit...

Neil Redfearn is anticipating an "entertaining game" when Watford are the visitors to face his United side on Saturday.

This fixture last season produced a thrilling 3-3 draw at Elland Road and the Hornets, who occupy sixth place in the Championship, are the division’s joint second-highest goalscorers having found the net on 66 occasions so far this season.

But Redfearn’s United have conceded just six times in any of their nine Championship outings since the turn of the year, meaning an intriguing contest could lie in wait for the head coach.

"It’s a good game to look forward to, they’re having a good season," said Redfearn.

"They’re an exciting side, they score goals but we’re in the middle of a good run.

"Barring Tuesday’s blip, we’re playing really well at the moment and we’ve had some good results.

"We’ve got a way of playing, it suits us, so I’m expecting an entertaining game."

Tuesday night’s 2-0 defeat at Brighton brought a three-game winning run to an end for a tired-looking United, and Redfearn is hoping to see his side pick things back up against Watford.

"Sometimes you’ve just got to hold your hands up," he said. "I think, on the night, they were better than us. I thought we looked a bit jaded.

"We put in a big effort against Middlesbrough, we had to travel a long way down but it’s no excuse.

"We didn’t play like we can play. It happens, we’ve just got to dust ourselves off and go again.

"We want to keep our season alive as much as we can. There are still a lot of games to play, we’ve got some great games coming up.

"We’ve got some good sides to play and we want to do well in them. We’ve got the bit between our teeth now.

"We know what we’re capable of and we’ve got a clear focus. We’ve got a clear direction of where we want to be and we want to finish well."
