MK DONS: UNITED LOOKING FORWARD - ROSLER

Head coach previews Saturday's trip to stadiummk...

Uwe Rosler says his side are "moving on and looking forward" to Saturday’s trip to MK Dons (3pm) after putting their first league defeat of the season behind them.

United’s unbeaten start in the Championship was brought to an end by Ipswich Town on Tuesday night, with the visitors claiming a 1-0 win at Elland Road courtesy of Tommy Smith’s first-half header.

Attentions have now turned to mounting a response at stadiummk this weekend, and Rosler insists United will not be dwelling too hard on the loss to Ipswich.

“The days are coming thick and fast and we’re now looking at preparation for MK Dons,” he said.

“In the Championship you have to be quick to get over things and not analyse it too deep.

“You can make one or two conclusions to take into the next game and that is what we’ve done.

“We are not on the floor crying because we lost a game of football.

“We didn’t want to lose, we wanted to carry on our run by winning at home.

“Unfortunately, that didn’t happen but we’re all professionals. We know that’s our job.

“Even the younger players in the squad have enough experience because they’ve played quite a bit.

“We’re moving on and looking forward to MK Dons.”

Asked about criticism aimed towards goalkeeper Marco Silvestri on Tuesday night, Rosler added: “We have to cope with criticism – that counts for everybody, including Marco.

“We all have to deal with this – it’s part of playing for Leeds United. Sometimes the criticism is correct, sometimes it is unfair.

“In the end, we are professionals. We have to put that to one side and concentrate on our daily work.

“We will only get better by working every day to our maximum and improving every day.”
