NGOYI HAPPY TO BE HERE

Loan midfielder talks about making United switch...

Granddi Ngoyi has spoken of his joy at signing on loan for the remainder of the 2014/15 campaign and says "big brother" Sol Bamba will help him settle into life at Leeds.

The French midfielder joined Palermo team-mate Bamba in making the switch to Elland Road and became United’s second signing of the January transfer window.

The pair, who both began their careers at PSG, only spent half a year together in Italy, but Ngoyi hopes to benefit from Bamba’s previous experience in England with Leicester City and his command of the English language.

"He will help me a lot because he knows English football and speaks very good English," said Ngoyi.

"Bamba is my brother, my big brother!

"I’m happy to be here. I’m very happy to be joining a good group.

"I will do my best for this club. I’m happy because I didn’t play a lot of games in Palermo, I’m very happy."

Ngoyi could make his United debut in Saturday’s Yorkshire derby at Huddersfield and is eager to prove his worth to head coach Neil Redfearn in time for the John Smiths Stadium trip.

"My role is to help the team. If the coach chooses to play me I will do my best for the team," he said.

"I hope to show what I can do on Saturday."
