INTERNATIONALS: COOK SET FOR U19S DUTY

Midfielder called up for trips to Germany and Croatia...

United midfielder Lewis Cook has been named in the England Under-19s squad for their forthcoming friendlies away to Germany and Croatia.

Cook is part of Aidy Bothroyd's 20-man selection for the two fixtures, which will serve as warm-up games for the Euro U19 Championship qualifiers in October.

The Young Lions face Germany in Bergisch Gladbach on Friday September 4, before heading to Zagreb to take on Croatia the following Monday.

Cook, who was a key figure in the U17s' European Championship-winning squad last year, has progressed through the age levels and made his U19s debut in March earlier this year.

The 18-year-old could return to action for United at Derby this weekend after serving a three-match suspension for a straight red card.
