MILANIC EYES HOME COMFORTS

United head coach preparing for the visit of Wolves to Elland Road...

Darko Milanic is still hoping to see his side show a more attacking mentality at Elland Road as the United head coach prepares for the visit of Wolves.

Having drawn both of his two games at the stadium so far – cagey encounters with Reading and Sheffield Wednesday - Milanic is now hoping clinch a first win in front of his own fans.

The Slovenian says he is prepared to make changes to how his side set up if required, but he particularly wants to see more chances created at Elland Road.

Milanic altered the diamond formation at Norwich, moving Adryan and goalscorer Souleymane Doukara into the wide positions as he looked to stem the waves of pressure his team were withstanding.

"It depends on the moment, we had another plan in the game on Tuesday which means we wanted to control the match with more attacking play like we had in other games," he said.

"But we were we were unable to do so because of the extreme pressure from them. If, for one game, it’s like this, it’s okay as we have to defend better.

"In our stadium, we want and we have to do it better in offensive play."

Milanic is still adjusting to life in the Championship but insists he is well prepared to face fourth-placed Wolves after doing his research on Kenny Jackett’s side.

"Everything is new for me but I have enough time between the two matches to know the opponent," said the head coach.

"Also, I have people inside the club are helping me and giving me information about the opponents. I’m ready, I know the strengths of the opponents.

"They are extremely aggressive and not a lot different from English teams. That means with big defenders and wingers with a lot of crosses, with a quick game with forwards.

"That means we are used to these games.

"I hope and I want to see an extremely motivated Leeds. With help from our great fans, have to do it."
