INTERNATIONALS: BOTAKA STARS FOR DR CONGO

United winger plays a key role in Monday's win...

United winger Jordan Botaka opened the scoring in DR Congo's 2-1 victory over Gabon on Monday evening.

The 22-year-old, a deadline day signing from Dutch side Excelsior, got his side off to a flying start just five minutes into the international friendly, pouncing on a rebound inside the area to tuck the ball home.

Botaka started the game on the wing and completed 78 minutes, with Newcastle United's Chancel Mbemba netting a late winner after Gabon had pulled level on the hour.

The winger is now due to return to Thorp Arch in the coming days as he prepares for Saturday's Elland Road clash with Brighton.
