Voting closes on April 3. Voting will then re-open the following Monday (April 6) for the top five players with the most votes, for you, the fans, to crown the Player of the Year.

Marco Silvestri
Apps: 40

The summer signing from Chievo has impressed in his debut season in English football, producing several match-winning performances with his heroics between the sticks. Stand-out games include the 1-0 victories over Bolton at home and Middlesbrough away, as well as his crucial late penalty save to secure the three points against Ipswich Town. Silvestri has kept 12 clean sheets in his 40 Championship outings this campaign.

Sam Byram
Apps: 32

The 21-year-old Academy product has been a regular fixture in the side throughout the season, starring in both full-back and wing roles down United’s right. Byram has three goals to his name so far this campaign, with his first coming in January’s Yorkshire derby triumph over Huddersfield before adding to his tally against Reading and Fulham. He claimed this award, alongside Young Player of the Year and Fans’ Player of the Year, at the end of the 2012/13 season.

Sol Bamba
Apps: 12

The January loan signing has made a big impression since his arrival from Palermo, slotting seamlessly into the United defence after making his debut at Huddersfield. Bamba has worn the captain’s armband in recent weeks during the absence of Liam Cooper, and the defender recently opened his goalscoring account for the club with a back-post header in the 3-0 win at Fulham.

Rodolph Austin
Apps: 27

The Jamaica international remains a big fans favourite at Elland Road. After a spell out of the team in the run up to Christmas, Austin returned to the side away to Derby County for the final game of 2014 and was back to his influential best, helping United climb away from danger with a remarkable turnaround in form. The 29-year-old was on target against Huddersfield and Bolton, as well as hitting a Goal of the Season contender at home to Watford.

Giuseppe Bellusci
Apps: 28

Recent weeks have seen the Italian defender re-cement his place in the back four after injuries and suspensions had him in and out of the team. Bellusci has partnered Bamba at the heart of defence on eight occasions and has helped the team to six clean sheets in those games. His memorable free-kick at Bournemouth is shortlisted for the Goal of the Season, while his other strike to date clinched a point at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

Luke Murphy
Apps: 25

The 25-year-old midfielder has been ever-present and a key part of Neil Redfearn’s side since returning to the fold for January’s FA Cup trip to Sunderland. His late strike rescued a point against Birmingham before a stunning effort sealed all three against Bournemouth the following week. He also netted from distance in the 2-0 win away to Reading and has received praise from the United head coach for his dominant displays in midfield.

Billy Sharp
Apps: 28

The summer signing from Southampton has popped up with some crucial goals this season, including dramatic late winners over Middlesbrough - on his debut - and away to Huddersfield to secure the Yorkshire derby bragging rights. Sharp’s penalty at Nottingham Forest clinched a point shortly before Christmas, while goals have also come in recent weeks against Watford and Ipswich after returning to the starting line-up.

Adryan
Apps: 13

The Brazilian loanee from Flamengo made his long-awaited debut away to Rotherham last October and forced his way into the side for the following week’s trip to Norwich City. Adryan has featured 13 times in total so far this season, with his stand-out moment perhaps being his role in Souleymane Doukara’s goal against Blackpool. His most recent first-team outing came as a second-half substitute in February’s Elland Road meeting with Watford.

Gaetano Berardi
Apps: 18

The 26-year-old full-back has had to be patient for a consistent run in the team this season, but Berardi has received praise from Redfearn in recent weeks after returning to the side away to Wigan. The Swiss international, who is also comfortable at right back, has been utilised on the left side of defence for the last four games, helping the team to clean sheets in three of those.

Scott Wootton
Apps: 18

The 23-year-old started the season in the team, making four appearances in August, before joining Championship rivals Rotherham United for a productive emergency loan spell in November. Wootton returned to Elland Road midway through January and has been ever-present in Neil Redfearn’s side since, holding down the right-back spot and helping the team return to winning ways.

Tommaso Bianchi
Apps: 26

Aside from the opening day at Millwall, the Italian midfielder was ever-present for United throughout the first half of the season and has 26 appearances to his name. Bianchi’s most recent outing came in February’s victory at Reading, but a knee injury forced him off after 30 minutes and, subsequently, he has been sidelined since.

Steve Morison
Apps: 21

The striker missed the start of the season due to injury but has established himself in the team in recent months after returning to the side for January’s 1-1 draw at Bolton. Morison has featured 21 times in all competitions so far this campaign and played a key role – as the lone striker – throughout the turnaround in form and climb up the table from the start of 2015.

Charlie Taylor
Apps: 18

The homegrown full-back was made to be patient for a run in the side, but Taylor has seized his opportunity and has been ever-present throughout 2015 since starting away to Sunderland in early January. The 21-year-old has adapted to a more advanced role on the left wing in recent weeks and has helped the team secure a number of impressive results both at home and on the road.

Lewis Cook
Apps: 38

The England Under-19s midfielder burst onto the scene at the start of the campaign and soon established himself as one of the first names on the United team-sheet. Cook’s 38 appearances in all competitions make him the outfield player who has featured the most so far this season, earning international recognition along the way. The 18-year-old has operated in a number of positions across the midfield and is regarded as one of the club’s brightest prospects for some time.

Alex Mowatt
Apps: 31

The 20-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a productive season in front of goal, netting eight goals from his 31 games so far. Mowatt’s form saw him collect the Football League Young Player of the Month award for November, as well as earning England call-ups at Under-20s level. He was the match-winner for the 1-0 victories over Millwall, Middlesbrough and Wigan, and also hit a stunning double in the 2-2 draw at home to Charlton.

Souleymane Doukara
Apps: 26

The summer signing from Catania netted a brace on his Elland Road debut against Accrington Stanley and found himself among the goals during the first half of the season. Doukara also struck important goals in the victories over Bournemouth and Huddersfield, as well as equalising at Carrow Road to secure a point against Norwich. The 23-year-old has mainly been used as a substitute since the turn of the year.

Liam Cooper
Apps: 25

The 23-year-old centre-back was handed the captain’s armband at the start of 2015 and, until recent injuries, was a regular fixture in Neil Redfearn’s resurgent United team. Cooper, a summer signing from Chesterfield, netted his only goal to date with a fine low strike in November’s 3-1 victory over Blackpool. The defender has also slotted in at left-back when called upon during his first full season at Championship level.

Casper Sloth
Apps: 14

The Danish midfielder has found regular opportunities limited this season, featuring 14 times in all competitions since his arrival from Aarhus. Sloth’s debut came in August’s Elland Road victory over Bolton and he returned to the team for the FA Cup tie at Sunderland following a spell out of the frame.

Mirco Antenucci
Apps: 33

United’s top goalscorer so far this season opened his account in September’s 3-1 win at Bournemouth, kick-starting a run which saw him net eight times in 14 Championship games. Antenucci’s stand-out moment perhaps came in the shape of his match-winning brace over Derby County, who were the division’s leaders at the time. The 30-year-old has found himself used as a substitute since the start of 2015, but Antenucci has been back among the goals of late with consecutive efforts at Fulham and Blackpool.
