As part of both organisations' 150th anniversary celebrations The FA has teamed up with the London Underground to create a very special tube map.

Each of the capital’s 367 Tube, DLR and Overground stations have been renamed after one of English football’s greatest players or managers.

North Harrow has been renamed Don Revie, Bounds Green has been christened Billy Bremner, and Upminster Bridge has been named John Charles.

Wembley Park has been renamed Alf Ramsey, while Leytonstone becomes one of its most famous sons - David Beckham. Arsenal is changed to the club’s England midfielder Jack Wilshere and Upton Park is named after 1966 World Cup-winning captain and West Ham United great, Bobby Moore.

Each of the 14 lines also holds a special significance. The Docklands Light Railway adopts names of pre-war players such as Eddie Hapgood and Dixie Dean along its route, while the Victoria line features notable names from the women’s game, including Kelly Smith, Faye White and Hope Powell.

Dating back to 1863, the Metropolitan line is the oldest on the network and becomes the managers line. As well as Wembley Park’s Alf Ramsey, it also boasts Sir Alex Ferguson, Roy Hodgson and Graham Taylor among its stops.

Meanwhile, the Circle line is focuses on ‘Giants of the Wold Cup’ - featuring the likes of Pele and Maradona, while the Overground pays homage to overseas stars such as Didier Drogba, Robin van Persie and Ossie Ardiles.

The FA was formed on 26 October 1863 at the Freemasons’ Tavern, near Holborn tube – 150 years later, a special gala dinner hosted by The FA’s President The Duke of Cambridge will be held at the very site the Founding Fathers met – now The Grand Connaught Rooms.

FA General Secretary Alex Horne added: "Over the last 150 years, millions of football fans will have made journeys to and from matches using the London Underground.

"Creating this special version of such an iconic map is a fitting way for The FA and London Underground to mark its shared 150th anniversaries. With the map featuring so many greats from the history of the game, it is sure to generate huge debate amongst fans as well."
