Neil Redfearn says he will assess the shape of his squad prior to setting off for Saturday’s visit to Cardiff.

Redfearn admitted he has some injury concerns ahead of the South Wales trip as he looks to end a run of six Championship games without a win.

United will be boosted by the return of top goalscorer Souleymane Doukara from suspension, although Billy Sharp and Rodolph Austin both missed last weekend’s defeat to Wolves through injury.

"We’ve got one or two niggles and knocks so I’m mindful of that, said Redfearn.

"Everyone will report ready to travel so I’ve got to pick a squad out of what we’ve got.

"I’ve done a little bit towards the game on Saturday about how we’re going to play.

"They look good to be fair. They’ve taken to it pretty quick.

"I’ve got that in place but with regards to the squad and putting the final squad together, it will be done on Friday."
