EURO 2016: DALLAS STARS IN VICTORY

Untied winger helps Northern Ireland see off Ukraine...

United winger Stuart Dallas played a starring role as Northern Ireland recorded their first Euro 2016 victory with a 2-0 win over Ukraine on Thursday evening.

Dallas, who returned to the starting line-up at the Stade de Lyon after coming on as a second-half substitute in Sunday's opening defeat to Poland, completed the full 90 minutes and had a hand in the second goal for Michael O'Neill's side.

Gareth McAuley opened the scoring with a second-half header before Niall McGinn wrapped things up deep into stoppage time with a close-range finish after Dallas' low strike was parried into his path.

Northern Ireland now face Germany in Paris on Tuesday evening knowing a point from their final Group C fixture could see them through to the last-16.
