ON THIS DAY: ROBBO STUNS SWINDON!

Today marks 12 years since Paul Robinson's dramatic header...

Thursday September 24, 2015 marks 12 years since THAT unforgettable injury-time Paul Robinson header against Swindon Town.

Goals from Andy Gurney and Sam Parkin had given the Second Division side a shock 2-0 lead at Elland Road following a lacklustre Leeds display, but Ian Harte pulled one back with just over 10 minutes remaining to give Peter Reid's side a lifeline.

Urged forward by the home crowd, Leeds threw everything into attack - including the goalkeeper - and Robinson rose to meet Michael Bridges' right-wing cross to send a towering header beyond his opposite number Rhys Evans.

During a season best forgotten, it was a moment of real magic at Elland Road and Leeds went on to win the tie on penalties thanks to further heroics from Robinson, who made the decisive save in the shoot-out.

The Leeds team that night: Robinson, Kelly, Camara, Roque Junior, Harte, Lennon, Batty, Olembe, Wilcox, Smith, Chapuis. Subs: Carson, Radebe, Bridges, Seth Johnson, Domi.
