Fives games to remember...
With Blackburn going for the title and Leeds for European football, it was an entertaining Easter encounter in 1995. The visitors took the lead through a Colin Hendry header, but Brian Deane salvaged a point for the hosts with a late header in front of the Don Revie stand.

Leeds kicked-off their home Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win in front of the Sky cameras against Blackburn on August 24 1998. The goal was made in Holland and scored at Elland Road, with strikers Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Clyde Wijnhard swapping passes before Hasselbaink fired in low past John Filan.

It was the late, late show in the third round of the League Cup for Leeds United when the two sides met in October 1999. Despite having won their past seven games in all competitions, it took a Danny Mills free kick to claim victory in stoppage time as First Division Blackburn pushed Leeds all the way.

Rewind to November 1995 and the two sides met in the fourth round of the same competition. Again, Leeds came out on top with goals from Brian Deane and Tony Yeboah. An own goal from Gary Kelly gave Blackburn hope, but Leeds held out for a place in the last eight of the tournament.

The points were shared in the old Second Division at the end of August 1989. With then manager Howard Wilkinson slowly putting his own touches to his new side, it was Blackburn who took the lead through Mark Atkins, but a Chris Fariclough header earned a share of the spoils and left Leeds with four points from their opening three games.
