Our ever popular Grassroots Scheme is back for the 2014/15 season and we’re looking forward to welcoming children from local football clubs and groups to Elland Road!

Our Grassroots initiative, which is sponsored by local business MBI, allows juniors a play a part in the matchday experience with activities including the guard of honour, player escorts and half time parade.

Not only this, they can also take advantage of reduced ticket prices with junior tickets available from as little as £5, whilst earning cash back for their club or organisation too.

Since launching in August 2013, our Grassroots scheme has welcomed 182 junior teams to Elland Road and has seen the club give almost £40,000 back to the clubs that have taken part.

Angela Emery of Horsforth St Margarets Junior FC said:

Over 500 of Horsforth St.Margarets Junior FC players & parents took advantage of the fantastic ticket offer that LUFC are doing for Grassroots Football, attending two fixtures last season. As a local community football club it was a fantastic opportunity to get together and support our local professional football club in a safe environment.

To see over 400 of our players walking around the pitch at half time waving the HSM flags was a fantastic sight and every one of them thoroughly enjoyed it and they can’t wait to do it again. The cash back scheme brings valuable funding back to our club too.

There are still plenty of opportunities to get involved throughout the season, including our Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield Town on Saturday 20 September.
