United striker Chris Wood has been named in the New Zealand squad for the forthcoming OFC Nations Cup in Papua New Guinea.

Wood, who ended the Championship season as our top scorer with 13 goals to his name, will captain the All Whites as they look to book a place at next year’s Confederations Cup in Russia.

The 24-year-old is set to link up with Anthony Hudson’s squad for a training camp in Brisbane before heading to Port Moresby, PNG, for the start of the tournament later this month.
