Leeds United have recalled striker Dominic Poleon from his loan spell with Bury.

The player's recall comes less than 24 hours after a double loan extension was agreed for both Dominic and Zac Thompson to stay on with the League One club.

Bury have a game at Scunthorpe on Tuesday and both players were expected to play with United manager Neil Warnock having the right to exercise a 24-hour recall clause at any time.

But the Leeds boss has moved to bring Dominic back to Elland Road.

The loan spell at Gigg Lane has seen Dominic find the target three times in eight appearances.

"Ross isn't 100 per fit as yet and with Luke Varney missing out for the weekend we're a few bodies light," said the United boss.

"Dominic has done well at Bury. He's played some matches, scored some goals, and he comes back to us match fit."
