United youngsters Zac Thompson and Dominic Poleon have joined Bury under the youth loan system.

The two young professionals will link up with former United manager Kevin Blackwell at Gigg Lane, initially until November 17.

Striker Poleon has made five senior appearances this season, scoring his first goal in the 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest last month.

Zac, who signed a new three-year contract before the international break, has made just one sub appearance this season, but clocked up 10 games last term.

United boss Neil Warnock had said he was keen to see both players gain experience by moving out on loan.

Bury are currently bottom of League One and have yet to record a victory this season. Blackwell took over at the club at the end of September.
