Aidy White in action against Southampton

Youngster Aidy White has agreed a new three-year contract to stay on at Leeds United.

The former Academy youngster was out of contract at the end of last season and has been heavily linked with a move away from the club.

But the speculation about his future will be formally put to bed on Saturday when he signs a new three-year deal with the club after pledging his future to United.

Manager Neil Warnock was delighted when he confirmed the player's intentions before Friday's pre-season game at Farsley.

"Aidy is a young player who we have high hopes for and we're delighted he's agreed to a new deal," said the boss.

"He's good going forward and he's good defensively, and he's a big part of our plans here."
