Lead us to the Premier League, says the boss...
Neil Warnock has confirmed that the club have offered Robert Snodgrass a new contract and he is hoping the Scotland international will be the captain who leads the club back into the Premier League.
"We've offered him a top contract that will make him the highest paid player at the club," said the boss.
"I want him to be our captain next year and I've asked him to give us a year to get Leeds United into the Premier League and if we don't get there at the end of next season, I'll get him there myself because I'll help him and let him go.
"It would be a massive step forward for Rob for him to nail his colours to the mast. I think he loves the club and has a lot of loyalty, and as captain I think he will support us in what we are trying to do."
The boss also confirmed that a new offer will be made to out of contract Aidy White over the course of the next week while talks will also continue with the representatives of Ross McCormack and Adam Clayton with a view to new contracts.
